Thank you for your comment. Eating for eye health doesn't have to be complicated. It's about eating lots of plant foods, especially vegetables and fruit.

I was telling my husband about the peppers while I was reading this. We were happy as we eat a lot of peppers but find it difficult in the winter. We live in Canada so most peppers are imported from Mexico and it's my understanding they are heavily sprayed with pesticides. Occasionally we can get organic ones here so at least we have access to some in the winter months.

It's true that yellow and orange bell peppers are great for your eyes. Bell peppers are part of the Dirty Dozen (most heavily sprayed fruits and vegetables), so eating organic when available is preferred. I plan to write about this topic in the near future.
